Housing and 宿舍

The University of Dayton offers many types of housing to meet students' personal, cultural and religious needs. First- or second-year undergraduates, conditionally admitted students, and those studying only in the Intensive English Program, who are under the age of 21, are required to live on campus. All other students are encouraged to live on campus, when housing is available.

The Center for 国际 程式 does not arrange housing for students, and the University does not offer temporary housing. Make housing arrangements before you arrive.

More information about housing accommodations at the University of Dayton are available on the housing and residence life website >>

Move-in dates for University housing

First- or second-year undergraduates, conditionally admitted students, and those studying only in the Intensive English Program, who are under the age of 21, are required to live on campus. These students can move into their on-campus residences soon after arriving on campus. 访问 the 重要的日子 section to find out about move-in dates.

WHAT IF I ARRIVE BEFORE ON-CAMPUS HOUSING OPENS?

If you choose to arrive before on-campus housing opens, you will need to arrange for temporary accommodations. The date that on-campus housing opens is a firm one and students arriving before this date will not be allowed to access their on campus residence.

A popular option for some students is to stay at the Marriott at the University of Dayton located at 1414 South Patterson Boulevard, 顿, 俄亥俄州 45409. This is the closest hotel to campus. We have negotiated a discounted rate for new students but you must reserve your room before you arrive. Click 这里 to make a reservation.

Temporary accommodations are at your own expense. The university is not responsible for these costs.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE ROOM?

All first year facilities come with a mini-fridge, a bed per person, closet space, robust and secure WiFi, a desk and desk chair. All beds are standard twin width of 36 inches and extra long length of 80 inches, except for beds in Virginia W. Kettering, which are standard width of 36 inches and standard length of 76 inches. Extended or extra long sheets are recommended. Standard twin sheets are possible; however, corners will tear over time.

If you are not required to live on campus, you may consider living off campus in a privately owned apartment or other residential facility. ISSS has compiled a list of nearby apartments and their approximate cost, distance to campus, and other requirements.
